ALVVAYS REVEAL NEW SINGLE

ALVVAYS
Reveal new track off upcoming album

Plimsoll Punks

Antisocialites, out September 8th
On Pod via Inertia Music / Rhythmethod

Alvvays will drop their highly anticipated sophomore album in under a month, and today the Toronto-based group are giving us another taste of new music with the infectious “Plimsoll Punks”. The song is the band’s answer to Television Personalities’ “Part-Time Punks” and a winking surf opus indictment of the self-righteous who intend to condescend. Check out the new track here.

The previously released tracks “In Undertow” and “Dreams Tonite” show a band on the brink of releasing their best material yet. Pitchfork notes on “Dreams Tonite” that the “new sound nods to the Chromatics and Beach House, touching upon their moody temperament while fleshing out their emotional explorations.” Rolling Stonepraised “In Undertow” in their Playlist section, writing “Canadian guitar romantics Alvvays mix pleasant noises and chill dejection, and the result is a perfect indie-rock lullaby.”

EARLY PRAISE FOR ANTISOCIALITES

“Alvvays never second-guess their core strength: anthemic, arm-swaying hooks that aim for the stars even when the sky is gray.”Pitchfork

“The band has kept their rivers of reverb, which sometimes makes them sound as though they’re playing to an empty middle-school gymnasium, an image that fittingly blends sweetness with melancholy.” – Vulture

“Lead single ‘In Undertow’ contains all of the elements that were initially so charming about the Toronto five-piece blown up to fuzzy and dreamy new heights.”Stereogum

“The great thing about Alvvays is that they know what they do well – create objectively good, beautiful indie pop – and they are evidently doing it again with ‘Antisocialites'”Uproxx

M83, aka Anthony Gonzalez, announces the highly anticipated details of his forthcomingfull-length album, ‘Junk’ out April 8 on Pod via Inertia / Rhythmethod.

The announce comes with a brand new single “Do It, Try It” which premiered today on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in the World.  Fans can pre-order the album now and download “Do It, Try It” instantly:inertia.lnk.to/Junk

‘Junk’ is the follow up to the critically acclaimed album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’, that featured Grammy nominated single, “Midnight City,” that would go onto become a definite radio hit and receive Platinum Certification.

While M83 albums has always combined genres in a nostalgic and provocative way – from shoegaze and ambient to synth-pop and ’90s alt-rock – for ‘Junk’, Gonzalez experiments adventurously with sounds and styles he’s never previously attempted in his music. “All my albums have layers of eclecticism to them, but with this album I wanted to take that even further,” he says.
