It’s the album we’ve all been waiting for – Courtney Barnett’s eagerly anticipated debut release is out today and in the lead up to this occasion Barnett performed earlier this week, her latest single ‘Depreston’ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Courtney Barnett cemented herself as a first class performer in 2014 through her major festival appearances including Coachella, Lollapalooza, The Great Escape, Primavera, Field Day and Glastonbury. She even snuck into New Zealand Septemeber 2014 for one night to play to a super packed Kings Arms Tavern in Auckland, and returned in January 2015 on the Laneway bill as one of the hottest tickets of the day.
Courtney’s new single from the album, Depreston, is looking strong at New Zealand radio making it onto the Most Added Chart this week and a direct hit new entry into the Top 5 of the Alternative Airplay chart.
Things are looking peachy for Courtney Barnett and we are working hard to get her back to New Zealand in the near future.
