FKA twigs by David Burton SML

What the folks overseas are saying….

“FKA Twigs emerges the high priestess of R&B’s latest corruption, and the world will kneel at the altar.”

– The Independent (5/5)

“Confidently frail and hesitant, LP1 is a refreshing reaction to, and a calm assault upon, the unfathomably fast

-paced total noise of the current age.” – Drowned In Sound (9/10)

“Twigs is set on building the sound of the future all by herself.”NME (8/10)

“More than anything this feels universally appealing. You don’t have to be a strict devotee of the R&B underground

genre to realise that this is a great album”The 405 (10/10)

“FKA Twigs is definitely one of the establishing voices in a new generation of artists who are refreshingly human

– They’re just making stuff, and it happens to be really good.”The Thousands

“Clarity is shunned for something more confounding, more intoxicating.” DIY Mag (4/5)

“FKA Twigs is an empress of subtlety, a connoisseur of the barely tangible moments between pop music’s

satiating exhalations. The big reveals in her songs tend to hit with half the force of usual radio fare,

yet they leave impressions that only grow more pronounced with time.”Pitchfork

“Fragile, heavenly and utterly compelling; this debut paves the way for boundaries-pushing pop.

This is music that shatters you with a single tap.”Clash (8/10)

LP1, the highly-anticipated debut album from FKA twigs, is out now

via Young Turks / Rhythmethod.

LP1 is FKA twigs’ defining artistic statement, building on the success of her two previous EPs and

accompanying videos (EP1 and EP2) which have elevated FKA twigs from a word-of-mouth secret to

global obsession over the past two years. LP1 features none of these previously released songs;

instead each track on LP1 is brand new, born out of FKA twigs’ artistic philosophy of spontaneous creation

and collaboration in the studio.
