Jamie xx has today unleashed the video for I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times). Directed by Rollo Jackson, the video features all three artists featuring on the track – Young ThugPopcaan and of course Jamie xx himself – shot in New York and Jamaica.

Today will also see the premiere of Skepta’s much-hyped remix. ‘I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times) (Skepta remix ft. Frisco and Popcaan)’, which received its first full play last night on BBC’s Radio 1 as the ‘Hottest Record In The World’.

I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)’ is one of the standout tracks from Jamie xx’s debut album In Colour, which was released in June on Young Turks. Both a critical and commercial success, the album was described by Q magazine as “rich, complex and dazzlingly fluid” and NME as “a euphoric solo debut” while Pitchfork stated “It’s the dazzling culmination of Jamie xx’s last six years of work, gathering up elements of everything he’s done—moody ballads, floor-filling bangers, expansive and off-kilter collaborations with vocalists—and packing them tightly into a glittering ball that reflects spinning fragments of feeling back at us.”

On release, In Colour entered the top echelons of album charts around the world, including top 3 placing in the UK album charts and the number 1 spot in the US Billboard Electronic chart.
