SPOON Performs “Do I Have to Talk You Into It” Live on CBS

VIVA LA SPOON!

Spoon has just wrapped up a massive week in New York City, first taking over The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon with a version of “Do I Have To Talk You Into It” that had the crowd roaring, then heading to Brooklyn Steel to play two sold-out nights. Pitchfork Live was there for the second show to live stream the performance.

Moses Sumney Performs Live On ‘Tiny Desk’

MOSES SUMNEY LIVE ON ‘TINY DESK’

Aromanticism is a concept album about lovelessness as a sonic dreamscape. Set for September 22nd release via Jagjaguwar, it seeks to interrogate social constructions around romance. The debut will include the recently released single ‘Doomed’ as well as new versions of standouts ‘Lonely World’ and ‘Plastic’.

Moses Sumney puts a great deal of thought into the heartfelt music he creates. On his debut album, Aromanticism, he was inspired by everything from the works of Plato and Aristophanes’ account of the origin of humanity to the Bible, particularly Genesis and the story of creation. It’s all in an attempt to understand human relationships and the sorts of couplings we tend to be drawn to. But despite the working and reworking it took to put these ideas to song, and to then make his brilliant debut, there’s a spontaneous side that you’ll see in this Tiny Desk Concert.
