Wolf Parade are sharing a new, official video for “You’re Dreaming,” one of the standout singles from Cry Cry Cry, their acclaimed October 2017 album. Directed by Raymond Knight, the new visual was recorded live and filmed in studio, and is reminiscent of a late night TV performance, one that captures the unbridled energy of Wolf Parade’s stage show [watch here].
Julien Baker Performs Live on The Late Show + Tiny Desk
Last night Julien Baker made her late night television debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
VIVA LA SPOON!
Spoon has just wrapped up a massive week in New York City, first taking over The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon with a version of “Do I Have To Talk You Into It” that had the crowd roaring, then heading to Brooklyn Steel to play two sold-out nights. Pitchfork Live was there for the second show to live stream the performance.
If that wasn’t enough, they played three tracks and sat down for an interview at CBS This Morning on Saturday, then took to Town Hall to play Prairie Home Companion that night.
MOSES SUMNEY LIVE ON ‘TINY DESK’
Aromanticism is a concept album about lovelessness as a sonic dreamscape. Set for September 22nd release via Jagjaguwar, it seeks to interrogate social constructions around romance. The debut will include the recently released single ‘Doomed’ as well as new versions of standouts ‘Lonely World’ and ‘Plastic’.
Moses Sumney puts a great deal of thought into the heartfelt music he creates. On his debut album, Aromanticism, he was inspired by everything from the works of Plato and Aristophanes’ account of the origin of humanity to the Bible, particularly Genesis and the story of creation. It’s all in an attempt to understand human relationships and the sorts of couplings we tend to be drawn to. But despite the working and reworking it took to put these ideas to song, and to then make his brilliant debut, there’s a spontaneous side that you’ll see in this Tiny Desk Concert.

THIS IS THE KIT – BY MY DEMON EYE
After a Northern hemisphere summer jam packed with touring, festivals and a brilliant string of support shows for The National last week in London. I’m pleased to announce that ‘By My Demon Eye’ will be the next single from the brilliant album Moonshine Freeze (Rough Trade).
NME said in reviewing the Glastonbury performance, “their set’s only flaw: it just all ended too soon. But the impact they made was immense. They’ve played the long game, and they’ve won. It’s time for the world’s biggest cult band to become a whole new beast.”
