“The video is an abstract love story about two characters whose insecurities and paranoia eventually drive them apart. I tried to show both character’s perspectives using elements from the lyrics. I had a team of amazing animators and friends.”
The band is currently on tour in Europe, and will soon head to Australia and a homecoming of sorts in New Zealand, where Ruban Nielson and his brother Kody recently won our country’s most prestigious songwriting award, the APRA Silver Scroll, for co-writing the title track “Multi-Love.” Ruban is also nominated for four New Zealand Music Awards, including Album and Single of the Year (ceremony on Nov. 19th). They’ll then return to the states for a winter tour with Lower Dens. The whole tour is likely to sell out, so those looking to attend are encouraged to get tickets while they can!
