Today Philly-born, NYC-bred and Berlin-based DJ, producer and performer LSDXOXO announces the release of his forthcoming EP ‘DEDICATED 2 DISRESPECT.’ Released on 14th May, the 12” EP is presented as part of XL’s coveted house bag series.
Much anticipated by LSDXOXO’s dedicated following, lead single ‘SICK BITCH’ is released today with the artist’s first ever music video conceptualized by himself and Mischa Notcutt and directed by Pe Ferreira + Enantios Dromos Limitrofetelevision. Inspired by Black nostalgia, today LSDXOXO enters his own visual piece into Black history with a stunning music video that perfectly emulates his vision: the fine line between feeling sexy and feeling messy, a quintessential rave modality. The rave has always been a place for queer expression and the ‘SICK BITCH’ video brings to life that very fact, featuring beautiful and bizarre creators of the night draped in designer wear from the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier, Dion Lee, Helmut Lang, Versace, Lanvin, Rick Owens, Sia Arnika, Julia Bajanova, Sportmax, Daniela Harsch, Oliva Ballard , Mopetersone and Madomorph.

‘SICK BITCH’ is a singular display of LSD’s deliciously eclectic brand of pop techno, and a track that captures a unique sense of humour coupled with a sex-positive narrative that surrounds all of LSDXOXO’s work. ‘DEDICATED 2 DISRESPECT’ is his first EP with both original compositions and vocals; the follow-up to his 2020 mixtape ‘Waiting 2 Exhale.’ The four-song project is packed full of rich lyrics, sensations and productions, delivering an illustrious portrait and narrative of the intersections between rave, techno, house, gender, camp, sexuality and race. It’s a project that oscillates between the politics and the party so effortlessly bold and unapologetic.
LSDXOXO is an artist from Philadelphia who made a name for himself in New York City as a DJ and producer, quickly becoming an essential figure at GHE20GOTH1K. He is known for destroying dance floors across the underground club scene with his energetic DJ sets, amassing attention for the way that he manipulates mainstream sounds by craftily layering pop tracks and vocal samples between Baltimore club, ghetto house, hardcore, electro and techno. He’s also flourished in his production work, having recently been tapped by SHYGIRL and VTSS for a remix and collaborative single. Now residing in Berlin and running his own club nightFloorgasm, LSDXOXO is synonymous with the new wave of techno artists reclaiming Black queer spaces and injecting some much-needed fun and camp into the genre.
