“Madi Diaz is barreling toward stardom” (Billboard). With the release of Weird Faith earlier this year via ANTI-, Diaz proved that “she is such a wonderful talent [and] everyone should know her” (NPR Music). Now she has released the deluxe edition, including a new version of ‘For Months Now (III)’ featuring Lizzy McAlpine, five demos from the Weird Faith recording sessions, and the previously released, ‘Worst Case Scenario’ and ‘One Less Question’ with Lennon Stella. Produced by Diaz (vocals, guitar, bass, piano, organ) alongside Sam Cohen (bass) and Konrad Snyder (percussion), Weird Faith is “full of folk-pop gold” (Rolling Stone), highlighting the human experience of spinning out on the fall into love, bold in its honesty, and aligned with the momentum of Madi Diaz.
Today’s ‘For Months Now (III),’ featuring Lizzy McAlpine “reminds me that I can have so much love for someone and still need to walk away,” Diaz explains of the song, originally released in 2019. “Walking away is hard for me. I’m a relationship kind of person. I love sharing and I love building and I love creating WITH someone. Walking away is always the hardest part for me. I obsess and turn it over and I stay and I deny before finding the strength to do the hard part of leaving.”
On collaborating with Lizzy McAlpine, Diaz says “Lizzy has one of those voices that takes a word or a lyric and makes the line twist like a dagger deep into the mind and heart simply because she is singing it. Hers is the kind of voice you can’t just listen to, she makes you lean into the aching. I was absolutely enchanted by her. I never knew where she would hit me, but every note she sang hit me hard.”

“What starts with modest acoustic guitar strumming rises with an orchestral crescendo to match the urgency of her questions.” — New York Times on ‘Same Risk’

“[Madi Diaz] is at the height of her powers.” — Stephen Thompson, NPR Music
“The guitars might be light and sparkly, but the sentiment is no different than a full-throttle riot grrl moment.”– Uproxx
“Diaz is one of the most cathartic singer-songwriters of our times.” – Remezcla
“[Diaz’s] specialty as a songwriter is creating intimate moments of a grand scale through her cathartic, sing-along hooks. The songs would sound just as at home in a sold-out arena as they would alone in the car on a late-night drive.” — Nashville Scene
“Madi Diaz is brazen, bold, unfiltered.” — The Tennessean
“[Madi Diaz] blends striking vulnerability with raw hopefulness on Weird Faith.” — Garden & Gun
“[Weird Faith] feels like…a level up in every regard.” — Paste
