Today, A Place to Bury Strangers share the new video for “Execution,” the second track on their recently released album, Pinned. Directed by Evan Fellers, the jarring, neon-infused visuals allow reality to bleed into the surreal, plunging forward with A Place to Bury Strangers’ signature sense of urgency.

Of the video, Fellers explains:

“It was a blast to craft this dark nugget of visual energy for this edgy track by APTBS. Fueled by the contours of potential meaning found in ‘Execution’, a free-form fall into defining this world resulted in 70% confused trip, 26% weird brain juice on the run, 3% humor & 1% whatever the hell you want it to be.

The new video comes ahead of the release of
Re-Pinned, a remix record featuring re-imagined APTBS tracks from Slowdive, Trentemøller, No Age, METZ, Eric Copeland, Roly Porter, Davy Drones, and TBO. Re-Pinned is out October 5th via Dead Oceans – you can listen to Slowdive’s take on “Frustrated Operatorhere.

For well over a decade now, A Place to Bury Strangers— Oliver Ackermann, Dion Lunadon, and recently added drummer Lia Simone Braswell —have become well known for their unwavering commitment to unpredictable, often bewildering live shows, and total, some might say dangerous volume. They don’t write set lists. They frequently write new songs mid-set. They deliberately provoke and sabotage sound people in a variety of cruel yet innovative ways. They can and will always surprise you.
