TĀMAKI MAKAURAU/AUCKLAND, New Zealand – Going Global™, Aotearoa’s renowned music summit and showcase event, is thrilled to announce its 2024 Aotearoa Artist lineup featuring 24 exceptional acts. Set to perform on Thursday August 29th and Friday August 30th, these artists represent the forefront of New Zealand’s diverse and vibrant music scene that are ready to take their craft to the world.

This year’s event promises to captivate both local audiences and the international music industry professionals that will be in attendance. NZ music fans are invited to experience the cutting-edge sounds and dynamic performances that define Aotearoa’s current musical landscape.

The showcase will take place at the iconic venues of Whammy! and its newly opened big sister space, Double Whammy! in St. Kevin’s Arcade on Auckland’s Karangahape Rd. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to discover new music spanning genres from indie pop to punk rock, electro and hip-hop to soul.

“We are at it again! 24 amazing bands across two nights, playing 20minute sets back-to-back-to-back, across three stages, all for a low ticket price…this is a party, a smorgasbord, a cornucopia of NZ artists blazing a trail across the night sky and having a damn good time doing it.” – Dylan Pellett, IMNZ GM

Today, Australian songwriter Julia Jacklin present Today, Australian songwriter Julia Jacklin presents a second single from her upcoming album, The Gem (out 25 September on 4AD).

Following lead track ‘Get Away From Me (I Think I’ll Love You Soon)’, ‘I Wish’ is written for her younger self – a practice that, four albums into her career, feels like a tradition. Like a fledgling bird about to flee its nest, she reflects, “I got through, yeah I’ll be fine / Still I wish someone at been there at the time.” ‘I Wish’ serves as The Gem’s swansong and features fellow Australians siblings Elsie and Maggie Rigby of The Maes.

Today, Queens of the Stone Age return with a stunn Today, Queens of the Stone Age return with a stunning new single, ‘Easy Street,’ on Matador Records, and announce massive Australia and New Zealand tour. Debuted live last year during their lauded Catacombs tour and eagerly awaited by fans, it’s the band’s first new song since 2023’s In Times New Roman. The music is serene and perfectly imperfect - acoustic guitar, psychedelic synths, and a rhythm track that breathes on its own. Beneath the surface: raw edges and withering wit. Featuring singer Nikki Lane, whose vocals arrive like gravel and honey with a Wanda Jackson grit. Her voice flips the sonic script against Josh Homme’s smoother lead line.
