London-based band black midi follows 2019’s Schlagenheim, their “encumbered but sophisticated, led by instinct, atmosphere and rhythm” (Billboard) debut album, with a new track, “Sweater.” It was recorded with Speedy Wunderground’s Dan Carey during the same period that resulted in Schlagenheim, and was the last of the tracks recorded during those sessions. “Sweater” opens with minimalistic instrumentation before bursting with turbulent guitar and percussion.
