A year on from SickElixir – the acclaimed “debut” album that saw him hailed by Pitchfork, The Guardian and The Fader as one of British electronic music’s most singular voices – Blawan is back with new music.
Blawan (aka Jamie Roberts) announces a brand new two-track EP, ‘Gi Mi Keys Back / Auto Fake’, releasing digitally on 25 September via XL Recordings – the same day he plays London’s Outernet. A limited 12″ of the EP is also available to pre-order now, landing 13 November. The first track, ‘Gi Mi Keys Back,’ premiered via Nick Grimshaw’s BBC 6 Music and is out now worldwide.

Written in a new city, in a new home studio, the EP finds Blawan rediscovering a sense of freedom and leaning back into dancefloor-driven territory after the more experimental, interior world of SickElixir. As he put on Instagram “In the process of finding my feet again with my more dance floor friendly excursions, I honestly thought I stopped enjoying making stuff for the floor as much as my more experimental bits, but one thing you learn is when you test the waters regularly you always surprise yourself”
Since dropping SickElixir on XL Recordings on 10 October 2025, Blawan has not stopped. He’s toured across the world, playing at the best clubs and festivals including Rewire, Primavera Sound, and Roskilde, made his US live debut with performances at Movement Festival in Detroit and Good Broom in New York, and along the way, he linked up with Skrillex to perform at CONTRA Festival at Berlin’s Kraftwerk and release a collaborative single “Thistle” with Randomer, and Brazilian artist MC Dricka. Now he brings his live show to the UK, first with a performance at London’s Outernet tonight (25 September) as part of AVA Festival London, followed by No Bounds Festival in Sheffield and Warehouse Project in Manchester this October.
