Led by the band’s vocalist and lyricist Elena Tonra alongside a string quartet and all-female vocal quartet, the audio was captured in one seamless take in Peckham’s Asylum Chapel, with arrangements composed by Josephine Stephenson. Watch the single’s stunning companion video, directed by Simon Lane below.

The original version of ‘All I Wanted’ was written, recorded and produced by Tonra and included in Daughter’s soundtrack to the videogame Life Is Strange: Before The Storm.

Music from Before The Storm was originally presented last year as a digital-only offering to coincide with the launch of the game’s release, and later released as a limited edition vinyl as part of Record Store Day 2018. Widely acclaimed, the album has been nominated for an Ivor Novello Award, the first time the band has been recognised by the prestigious British songwriting and composing academy.

Daughter is the London-based trio of Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella. Established in 2010, the band have gained a loyal fanbase, playing to sold-out audiences around the world. They have released two albums: the silver-certified If You Leave (2013) and 2016’s award-winning Not To Disappear.
