Grade 2 release their fourth album Talk About It today, April 3rd, via Hellcat Records. Available now across all platforms, the record marks a defining chapter for the Isle of Wight trio — bassist and frontman Sid Ryan, guitarist Jack Chatfield, and drummer Jacob Hull — twelve years since they first picked up instruments as schoolmates.

Grade 2 – ‘Hanging Onto You’

Talk About It is an unflinching chronicle of everything the band has lived through: the near-collapse of touring during COVID, the surreal experience of sharing festival stages with Rancid and Slipknot, the quiet dissonance of returning home between runs, and the emotional weight of relationships sustained across long distances. Where their self-titled 2023 LP announced their arrival, this album digs deeper into love, loss, mental health, and the slow work of growing up in public.

Grade 2 – ‘Standing In The Downpour’

The title-track was initially called Communication, a song about how men don’t talk about the things that really matter to them“, explains Sid. “But it became ‘Talk About It’, which sums up the whole album, touching on every emotion that you feel while being in a band — from love to loss to personal turmoil to ambition. It’s a coming-of-age story about Grade 2 entering adulthood.
