For over ten years the profound songwriting and vocals of M.C. Taylor spearheaded this prolific, perpetually evolving group. He’s toured and recorded relentlessly, earning devotees along the roads, deep in festival pits, and across the seas, delivering earnest performances that morph from jammy freakout to private prayer in a matter of measures.

The acclaimed North Carolina band have already made an imprint in Aotearoa – Radio NZ’s Nick Bollinger praised M.C Taylor for his “literate, hard-boiled lyrics” on Heart Like A Leveea timeless Americana record. Graham Reid (elsewhere.co.nzwrote in support, “the songs transcend spare folk and reach towards something literary and philosophical.”
