After recently announcing his highly anticipated debut album 99.9%, due May 6th via XL Recordings / Rhythmethod, KAYTRANADA is back today to share new track ‘Glowed Up’ featuring Anderson .Paak.

The Bo Mirosseni directed video perfectly captures the technical world KAYTRANADA creates in his music and comes on the heels of KAYTRANADA’s recent FADER profile. Speaking about the video, Mirosseni described the process of shooting the clip as being “as surreal and dreamy as the video concept itself actually is.”

Check out the video for ‘Glowed Up’ below:

The video’s release comes in advance of the impending release of 99.9% and on the heels of the release of collaborations with Pusha T, Mick Jenkins, Kali Uchis and Vince Staples in the past 10 days.

Since the age of fourteen, when he first began to DJ and when his brother introduced him to music production software, his output has been relentless. He explains, “after he showed me the basics, from that day on I couldn’t stop making beats,” pumping out a handful of tracks per day for the next couple of years. Single releases like ‘Drive Me Crazy’ with Vic Mensa and ‘Leave Me Alone’ with Shay Lia soon spread his name like wildfire. With their release, KAYTRANADA cemented his reputation and his sound; an undeniable swing of the drums comparable to Dilla’s, a signature soulful touch in the melodies, and a healthy dose of funky bass lines.
