Quantic presents The Western Transient – A New Constellation (out July 31)

The latest project from Will “Quantic” Holland, The Western Transient is a specially handpicked group of some of Holland’s favourite musicians from LA and around, brought together to manifest a set of new jazz compositions that pay a modern tribute to the rich, intimate quality of soul and jazz recordings of the golden era.

A New Constellation is the result of this joining together of creative forces, out on Tru Thoughts on July 31. This new offering follows after Quantic’s previous, greatly acclaimed solo album Magnetica, in a way that captures the beauty of spontaneity in the ‘old ways’ of creating and recording music.

The Western Transient involves: Brandon Coleman (keys), Gabe Noel (bass), Sylvester Onyejiaka (sax).

Referred to as one of the most prolific artists in today’s world of alternative dance music, Holland has output his creativity from under a number of guises including Quantic, which is the route to which he found critical acclaim. As “Quantic”, he has released a large and much-celebrated volume of work including solo albums and other works similar to the collaborative approach presented here in A New Constellation with The Western Transient.

The full-length album will be released on CD and deluxe gatefold LP, sealed in a handmade hardback sleeve. Available in all good music stores from July 31. Proudly distributed by our friends at Rhythmethod.
