Today, Spoon have made their recent performances of the Tom Petty classics “Breakdown” and “A Face in the Crowd” available to stream across DSPs. Listen to the songs and watch the performances HERE.
Both songs were tracked live last year at Public Hi-Fi studio in Austin. “Breakdown” was initially broadcast as part of Tom Petty’s 70th Birthday Bash, a virtual tribute concert held last fall. “A Face in the Crowd” debuted in December as part of Jack Antonoff’s Ally Coalition Talent Show.
The band also celebrated the 20th anniversary of its third album, Girls Can Tell, with a Spotify playlist and the release of a long-lost demo, “Lines in the Suit – 30 Minutes Old (1999 Home Demo). Listen HERE.
In January, Austin City Limits broadcast an episode collecting highlights from Spoon’s many appearances on the show, including its ACL debut in 2003 as well as subsequent visits in 2005, 2010, and 2015.
