Soaked Oats announce support for their Sludge Pop Tour NZ shows!

Soaked Oats have just returned from the Australian leg of their Sludge Pop tour selling out venues in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney! The Dunedin-formed globe trotters are excited to return home and reunite with their beloved Aotearoa fanbase.

Today, New Zealand’s treasured sludge-pop rockers share the support for their upcoming shows across Aotearoa. This tour celebrates their Sludge Pop EP which they released on June 14th via Dot Dash Records/Rhythmethod.

This Friday, Soaked Oats travel to Mt Maunganui to play at Totara St with support from local band and proud punk-rockers, Grown Downz. 

Joining Soaked Oats in Auckland will be indie-pop gem, Being., who toured with Soaked Oats last May for their split release with Ha the UnclearCorduroy Cape: A Persnickety Mixtape. 

Soaked Oats are also delighted to have indie three-piece Hans Pucket opening up their show in Wellington. Expect the finest vocal harmonies carried by pop melodies and ingenious lyricisms. Watch their latest video, ‘Comfort‘ here.

Australian psych-rock duo, Morning Morning, will support the last few shows of the tour in Dunedin and Christchurch. Soaked Oats played a sold-out show with Morning Morning in Melbourne last week! Pre-sales flew out the door and queues were spilling onto the streets… so get in quick! CARB ON CARB announce headline show at Whammy Bar on May 3rd + Japan tour dates!

Emo-punk duo Carb on Carb released their sophomore album for ages last May to great international review. The album continues to give – last month they shared 90’s teen rom-com inspired video for stand out track, ‘Man Says‘. (Watch here)

Today, Carb on Carb share news of an incoming video for ‘Annual Leave‘ due May 2nd followed by a release show at Whammy Bar, Auckland on May 3rd. There will be support from Auckland’s indie-rock gem Being., looping genius, Ana Te K?tiro and shoegaze band Blush Juliet performing their debut show.

Notable tour fiends, Carb on Carb also announce special news of a forthcoming overseas trip to Japan for a 9-date tour! This won’t be their first international experience having already toured China, South East Asia, the US and multiple visits to Australia!

Being. announced as support for Ben Ottewell’s solo show!

Earlier in the year Being. released a collaborative project with Soaked Oatsand Ha the Unclear called Corduroy Cape: A Persnickety Mixtape. Her song ‘Fold Into the Sea‘ which features on the mixtape was pressed onto chocolate vinyl by Whittaker’s as part of NZ Music Month making it the first edible record (in NZ). Ha the Unclear announce new album Invisible Lines

Today Ha the Unclear announce the release of their long-awaited second album Invisible Lines, which will be released on Friday 20th July. The frenetic kiwi quartet also share a striking music video for their new single ‘Wallace Line,’ starring both Cathro brothers, Michael and Paul with New Zealand filmmaker and actress, Kelly Gilbride, who directed and produced the video.

The track, produced and engineered by Tom Healy at Paquin Studios (Tiny Ruins, Popstrangers) and mastered by Jared Hirshland (Anderson .Paak, Tokyo Police Club), unravels the story of a disintegrating long-distance relationship over a percussive musical backdrop and Cathro’s endearing storytelling, which has become a much-loved centrepiece of Ha The Unclear’s music over the years.
