Following lead track ‘Get Away From Me (I Think I’ll Love You Soon)’, ‘I Wish’ is written for her younger self – a practice that, four albums into her career, feels like a tradition. Like a fledgling bird about to flee its nest, she reflects, “I got through, yeah I’ll be fine / Still I wish someone at been there at the time.” ‘I Wish’ serves as The Gem’s swansong and features fellow Australians siblings Elsie and Maggie Rigby of The Maes. @juliajacklin @4ad
