Tune-Yards return with a brand new single entitled ‘The Ones’ — a bright, uplifting groove and ode to solidarity featuring propulsive basslines, marching percussion, swooning brass, and twinkling celeste. Croons Merrill Garbus, “Give me the power now to stand beside the ones that love me”.
Says Garbus, “It’s a song for right now: for admitting the ways we haven’t been there for each other, and resolving to stand up for each other, today, in all the ways we can. Revolution needs a driving beat, and we hope we can add to the great music fueling the movement.”
This new single precedes Tune-Yards forthcoming a new run of Fall 2026 North American tour dates, dubbed the ‘The Ones That Love You’ tour. Set to kick off in early November, the tour sees Garbus and Nate Brenner heading to Chicago, Cleveland, Boston, and more. Tickets are on sale now — find more information HERE.
This year, Tune-Yards also provided music for the I Love Boosters – Original Motion Picture Score, released digitally on May 22 and now available to purchase on Neon Pink Vinyl via the Tune-Yards store – find more information HERE.
