WATCH EFTERKLANG’S CINEMATIC SESSION ON 16MM FILM IN COPENHAGEN

1 min read

Efterklang has released a session captured on 16mm film recorded in Copenhagen performing songs off the new album, “Verden Forsvinder” (the world disappears), “Vi er uendelig” (we are infinite) and “Hold mine hænder” (hold my hands) as a 7-piece. The session is directed by Jonas Bang and Efterklang marks the first performers new series called Brodie Sessions.

Deep and sonorous, Altid Sammen (meaning “always together”) is steeped in the sonic experimentation that has long been their trademark since Tripper, the Danes’ 2004 debut. As bold and ambitious in scope as their last collection of songs, Piramida, Casper Clausen (vocals), Mads Brauer (synths, electronics) and Rasmus Stolberg (bass) have taken another creative U-turn, this time fusing baroque instrumentation with their signature expansive sound.
