The sophomore album Sprinter from Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter TORRES, also known as Mackenzie Scott is set for a Friday 8th May release date on POD via Inertia.

It was Scott’s single Honey, that made her presence known to world – attracting over 200,000 streams on Soundcloud. She also appeared on Sharon Van Etten’s record “Are We There”, and collaborated with Van Etten & The War On Drugs for this song of her own “New Skin”.

Scott has been deemed ‘one to watch’ for in 2015 by both – TIME Magazine and NME.

“We can’t wait for her new LP, Sprinter” – Rolling Stone

“This record is mammoth… I think it’s an album we’re going to be talking about throughout the year” – NPR

“As displayed on her self-titled debut, Torres’s (a.k.a. Mackenzie Scott) voice can be at times frail and quiet, and other times rich and powerful. “Strange Hellos,” the first single off her second album, which is scheduled to come out in May, features both, but leans much more on the latter, as ish gets real heavy” – Vulture (10 Best New Songs of the Week)

The hooks are catchy, with a unique rough-around-the-edges quality that positions Torres to be indie rock’s next big thing”  – NYLON
