The Enigmatic Welsh producer Koreless today releases a brand new EP, Deceltica, via Young. The four-track EP includes a new single ‘Deceltica’, as well as the previously released single ‘Seven’, a vibrant ‘Seven’ remix by fellow Welsh producer and friend Jorg Kuning, and an extended version of ‘Seven (Drumhell)’, which first appeared on HAAi’s DJ-Kicks compilation.

Praise for Koreless:

“Koreless’s first solo release in two years is brimming with giddy dance floor energy.” – Resident Advisor

“a glacial, glitchy two-step banger” – The Observer

“deceptively austere, churning” – CLASH Magazine

After pouring everything into the intricate creation of his critically acclaimed debut album Agor (“a simply breathtaking debut” – The Quietus), Koreless retreated from the chaos of London to the tranquil countryside of his birthplace, Wales. This move sparked a newfound sense of freedom and inspiration. Embracing this fresh perspective, Koreless began experimenting with new chords, beats, and instruments, creating the Deceltica EP. The four-track project quickly gained recognition, receiving frequent plays from notable DJs such as Four Tet, Batu, Benji B, Courtesy, HAAi, 2manydjs, and Daphni – who invited Koreless to perform at a free party at Neuadd Ogwen, where the tracks were met with a rapturous response. Due to high demand, the tracks are being released globally as part of the Deceltica EP, available digitally and on 12” LP from today, Friday 16 August.

Though this marks Koreless‘s first solo project in over two years, he has remained active through several notable collaborations. He composed an original score for Thomas Hardiman’s murder mystery film, MEDUSA DELUXE, and collaborated closely with choreographer Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar on ‘Into The Hairy’, showcasing his talent for integrating music and movement. Additionally, Koreless continues his longstanding partnership with FKA twigs which has previously involved collaborations, on MAGDALENE, and CAPRISONGS, as well as the unearth her performed at Valentino L’École. During her recent Vogue cover interview, twigs described Koreless as the “guiding light” on her upcoming album, highlighted by the fact she invited Koreless to curate the music for her 2024 Met Gala After-Party.
