HAWA drops her hyped debut album HADJA BANGOURA, named for her great-grandmother who passed away last year. Hadja’s spiritual presence on the album forms a vessel for healing as HAWA crafts a letter to herself through which to work past her toxic relationships, largely written in Guinea’s capital of Conakry. Heralded by The FADER and Pitchfork, plus co-signs from The Guardian and NY Times, HAWA has already stamped authority across her New York hometown – now paving the way for a new global talent.
