Algiers released the much-anticipated video for the single ‘Black Eunuch‘. Since the release last week, of the self-titled debut album, the band has been picking up numerous accolades. The Quietus observed, “Algiers are the new musical standard-bearers for righteous fury that simply can’t be successfully faked because it is not tied to juvenile anger or a frustration born of a misplaced sense of adolescent self-importance – a nod to the egos of Franklin James Fisher, Ryan Mahan and Lee Tesche – or reliant on memetic humour, but linked intrinsically to a time and place in the in the history of our civilisation that has signs of being a possible tipping point.” Watch the video for ‘Black Eunuch’ here.
Following up the recent release of their new album The L-Shaped Man, Ceremony are back to share a remix of ‘Your Life in France’ by Liberation, also known as David West of Total Control, Rank/Xerox and Rat Columns. Liberation’s remix takes the song into a different skin, deconstructing the original recording and remaking it into four minutes of controlled chaos. Stream it here first!
