Arca has today presented a second song from his forthcoming third album, Arca. Again featuring his revelatory singing voice, ‘Anoche’ comes accompanied by a stunning video from Arca’s longtime visual collaborator Jesse Kanda, continuing the pair’s inimitable creative partnership.

‘Anoche’ follows news earlier this week that Arca (aka Alejandro Ghersi) will release a much-anticipated new album. Released on 7th April 2017, the self-titled record will be the Venezuela-born, London-based artist’s first on XL Recordings, following the release of his two previous albums: 2014’s Xen and 2015’s Mutant.
‘Piel’, the first song to be released from the album, was
met with widespread acclaim. Pitchfork stated “The first taste of Arca does more than subvert the expectations we have ofGhersi, it annihilates them” while i–D described Arca’s music as “pure, fragile and sincere, full of wounded experimental, electronic majesty” In addition to the ‘Anoche’ video, Jesse Kanda has also created the stunning artwork for Arca, which will be available on CD, gatefold single vinyl LP and on all digital services.
