Asmara (aka Asma Maroof of acclaimed Nguzunguzu, Future Brown, and collective Fade To Mind) delivers a remix of Kristin Kontrol’s “Show Me,” a standout from her debut album X-Communicate. This pairing completely reimagines the original, demonstrating the complimentary power of two singular artists.
Kristin says of the rework, “Asma is a badass. As a fan, it was kinda unreal to see this come to light. She turned the song into such a club banger and I’m psyched I got the opportunity to hear my music through her.”
Last week, Kristin Kontrol also delivered the “stellar” [Gorilla vs Bear] b-side, “Baby Are You In?” Stereogum raved that the track was “stark and dramatic dance-pop” and Idolator called it a “beautifully dark and moody jam.”
