Breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — were one of the biggest success stories of 2023. 2024 has proven to be just as massive for the foursome, who show absolutely no signs of slowing down.
Sleep Theory have shared the powerful performance video for ‘Paralyzed.’ The visual truly captures the band doing what it does best — and that’s play live!
“‘Paralyzed’ is a record that speaks about the inner battles we face, and attempting to overcome those obstacles while trying to move on and seek inner peace,” the band shares. “This is the heaviest track Sleep Theory has released, and the intensity of this record is there to help convey the magnitude of how these struggles feel internally.”
Earlier this summer, the band dropped the video for the brand new single ‘Stuck in My Head.’ The song has taken off like a rocket and has absolutely dominated radio and streaming. It landed at No. 1 on SiriusXM Octane’s Bug Uns countdown and is currently at No. 10 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart and at No. 18 on the active rock charts. It has accumulated 16.6 million streams since release and steadily racks up 1 million streams per week.
Ones to Watch called out the song for its “earwormy” nature, declaring, “The track lives up to its name, starting with punchy, high-octane percussion, throttling guitar riffs, and deep bass lines that weave into an enrapturing blanket of sound supporting Moore’s sleek, rich vocal ad-libs.”
Having only released the PAPER HEARTS EP via Epitaph last year, Sleep Theory managed to amass over 182 million global streams, while steadily garnering five million streams per week. They’ve played the main stage at major festivals, where they quickly became one of the most buzzed about bands on the lineup. They embarked on tours alongside Shinedown and Beartooth, achieved two Top 10 radio singles, a Top 5 hit with their song ‘Fallout,’ enjoyed numerous viral moments on social media, and began working on a full-length album.
Since bursting onto the scene, Sleep Theory have gone from strength to strength. The band was praised by Loudwire for its ability to “adapt 2000s arena rock and nu-metal for the future with their anthemic metal-tinged sound that would please any fan of Linkin Park and their ilk. At once enthralling, emotional and disarming, Sleep Theory’s supercharged single ‘Numb’ is everything a radio rock fan could want. You’ll be humming it for days after.”
With press coverage from the likes of Alternative Press, American Songwriter, Billboard, Celebrity Access, Forbes, Idobi, Men’s Journal, Revolver, and VOA, they’ve also enjoyed major nods from SiriusXM’s Octane. They’ve toured with everyone from Shinedown to Wage War to Beartooth, shared stages with I Prevail and Falling In Reverse, and have appeared at Louder Than Life, Welcome to Rockville, Rock Fest, ShipRocked, and Point Fest. They also count Jellyroll and Disturbed David Draiman as fans.
Sleep Theory are the breakout act of 2023 and 2024 — and they have 2025 squarely in their sights.
