Wilson shares about the single, “Selfish is one of those songs that came together effortlessly. About 3 hours all together, just pure collaborative ease between myself, Saya Gray, Ace G & Braden Sauder. Saya was sitting at the piano playing some chords and instantly I knew where the song was heading. It was one of those moments we dream of as songwriters where there are no questions just answers.”
The release of ‘Selfish’ follows a major career milestone for Wilson, who was honoured last month with the 2025 Innovator Award at the Billboard Canada Women in Music ceremony. This year’s event made history as the Innovator Award was presented in Canada for the first time, a fitting recognition for an artist whose creative expression and visionary production have made her a touchstone artist in modern music.
