Meet Diana Gordon. A new favourite Queen of ours, brought to us by 4AD. Gordon’s work has been closer than you may have ever known, as she’s worked with a number of artists like Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Lopez. More recently, she’s teamed up with Travis Scott and worked on Beyoncé‘s Lemonade (tracks: ‘Sorry’, ‘Daddy Lessons’ and ‘Don’t Hurt Yourself’ with Jack White.)
This week, she dropped ‘Woman’, debuting the song live on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Diana and her band put a James Brown-infused rock and roll touch to the original track ELLE calls “fiery, feminist soul/R&B pop”. Watch the Late Show performance here.

She has been garnering the attention of press overseas, with The FADER praising her as “radiant [and] in-command” in their feature, and Vogue predicts “all eyes on Diana Gordon” in their August issue.
