Kane Strang shares final video for ‘It’s Not That Bad’ from Two Hearts and No Brain

Although its just over a year since the release of Kane Strang’s sophomore album, Two Hearts and No Brain, these songs refuse to get tired! And with that, here is the last video to come from that wonderful record for the deliciously noisey fuzz of ‘It’s Not That Bad’.

As a collaboration with director Julian Vares, the video creates a supporting cinematic snapshot of the band letting loose on this track in what could be their Dunedin rehearsal space (check the jumper action!). Actual location – the panel beater’s workshop that Kane’s Dad runs.

In contradiction to the guitar wall of noise on this track suggesting darkness, the lyrics are positive and affirming. As Kane recently told Undertheradar, this is the reverse of his usual modus operandi. “A lot of times, these songs that I’m talking about often have really happy sounding music but incredibly sad lyrics. There’s something really powerful about that. This one I sort of tried to do the opposite I guess.”

Come on, see it through It’s not that bad Come on, wait it out It won’t be long It won’t be long Come on, stick with me It could be worse Come on, work it out You will get through You will get through It’s not that bad You will get through It’s not that bad You will get.. It’s not that bad.
