LONTALIUS – Announces Hometown Album Release Show

Last week, Lontalius (Eddie Johnston) shared his debut album, I’ll Forget 17 with the world and the 19 year old has been receiving some great feedback from local and international media. Featuring singles ‘All I Wanna Say‘, ‘Kick In The Head‘, and his most recent radio single, ‘Glow‘, the Wellington singer-songwriter shares a poignant collection of emotional and vulnerable experiences through the pop medium in his first official release as Lontalius.
Today Lontalius announces his hometown album release show:
Friday April 15th
PreFab Hall – Wellington
Doors 7.00pm
Show starts 8.30pm
Support by fellow Wellingtonian DJ / Producer k2k
Tickets from undertheradar.co.nz
With thanks to undertheradar and Phanthom Billstickers
International media attention continues as earlier this week, Johnson guest starred on Huw Stephens’ BBC Radio 1 show where he discussed I’ll Forget 17 and a few of the album highlights on the infamous segment, “It’s Album Time”.

In the short time he has been writing, recording and producing, Lontalius has gone from making bedroom-pop remixes to fully developed, raw and relatable love songs; made fans out of fellow New Zealand stars Lorde and Troye Sivan; collaborated with Ty Dolla $ign and Ryan Hemsworth (including releasing several tracks on Hemsworth’s Secret Songs).
From the Wellington show, Eddie travels to the U.S. to play Lollapallooza late July in his other guise as Race Banyon, all of which is evolving into a move to L.A. for the young musician.
“Whichever mode he’s in, Lontalius sounds capable of anything” – North & South (4 stars)
“It’s calm, sad, affecting, quietly glorious… an album of magnetic atmospheres and lovely details” – Sunday Star Times (4 stars)
