Loren Kramar, Secretly Canadian’s latest signing, releases his debut album Glovemaker. The release follows singles ‘Hollywood Blvd’ and ‘I’m A Slut,’ which earned critical praise from New York Times, BBC Radio 6, NYLON, Stereogum and more. The album is accompanied by track ‘Gay Angels,’ a swelling, open-heart ballad about recognizing that his experience with internalized homophobia is shared by many gay and queer people who have had to rely on the faith that love could be on the other side of pain. An ode to the queer community, ‘Gay Angels’ is an expression of self-love overcoming shame.
The release is accompanied by a visually stunning video directed by Loren Kramar, that is a reimagining of his coming out story. It was shot in his father’s scrapyard outside of Los Angeles and co-stars his mother, father and brother – watch HERE.
