Mamalarky, who recently announced their signing to Epitaph Records, shareFeels So Wrong,’ the captivating new single from the tri-coastal indie rock quartet. Known for their intricate instrumental interplay, dreamy vocals and suave melodies, they blend a modern indie sound with nostalgic rock elements. The track delivers infectious hooks and heartfelt lyrics, crafting a listening experience that feels both fresh and familiar while drawing listeners into an emotional journey.

Certain times in my life have felt like a weird intersection, where a lot of good and bad happen at the same time. At this point, I had quit my full time job to go on tour and subsequently deliver pizzas, often for no tips, and always with no working AC. I had also started producing music at a greater capacity than ever before and felt really hopeful about what was being made. Still every day ended in an inconclusive feeling, the band’s Livvy Bennett explains. “When I started writing ‘Feels So Wrong’ I was recognizing that the things that should make you feel happy never bring as much meaning as sorting through the muck, confronting your challenges even when it sucks, even when there’s no end in sight. There is always reason to remain hopeful, even in uncertain, murky times when everything feels wrong. I swear!

‘Feels So Wrong’ follows the release of Nothing Lasts Forever,’ released late last year alongside the news of their Epitaph signing. The track received praise from Pitchfork, Stereogum, UPROXX, and Paste who called it “a terrific, hypnotic dream-pop song… The melody oozes and crawls like a body stuck to a hot blacktop, sounding as humid as it does tranquil.”

Mamalarky is Livvy Bennett, Noor Khan, Michael Hunter and Dylan Hill.
