Porridge Radio sign off on a triumphant 2020 with the release of their original Christmas song ‘The Last Time I Saw You (O Christmas)’ via Secretly Canadian

The song is a fan favourite of Porridge Radio’s seasonal live shows, now restructured and recorded, and has the feel of an old classic with a distinctly Porridge Radio spin. While an ode to the festive season, there’s a deeper message intertwined.

On the track, Dana Margolin, who fronts the band said:

“It’s a song about having a miserable time every Christmas and the same cycles of heartbreak and depression endlessly repeating themselves. We had a lot of fun with it – enjoy”

The release comes after a deluxe version of Porridge Radio’s critically-acclaimed, Mercury Prize nominated breakthrough record Every Bad was released earlier this year – which was recently also named as one of Rough Trade’s top ten albums of the year. The deluxe version is available here.

Prior to the release of the deluxe version of Every Bad, Porridge Radio released the standalone and recently BBC 6 Music A-listed single ‘7 Seconds’.
