Canadian post-punk quartet Preoccupations have announced a new self-titled album, and released a video for the album’s first single “Anxiety”. The band is set to release the new album on September 16th through Jagjaguwar / Rhythmethod. The album has been described by the band as “a singular, bracing collection that proves what’s punishing can also be soothing, everything can change without disrupting your compass”.
Director Yuna Park describes the video for “Anxiety” as a “catalog of childhood phobias and anxieties”, building on the eerie black and white aesthetic.
