Shapeshifter release the first of their new works for 2023 on March 24th, with the epic journey through drum and bass that is ‘Runaway’.
A half-time future soul intro transitions into uplifting disco-sprinkled d’n’b as the vocals urge you to “pick your feet up off the ground”.

Never an artist to just rinse and repeat, the song’s middle section takes the listener to a new darker place before returning to the classic early 2000s vibes that recall huge anthems from J Majik or Ed Rush and Optical, but with a distinctly modern twist.
With euphoric build-ups, drops, and switches that are classic drum and bass magic, ‘Runaway’ is another uplifting anthem in the Shapeshifter catalogue.
