Dance music titan Solomun today releases two highly-anticipated remixes of Jamie xx’s ‘Waited All Night’– a standout track from his acclaimed 2024 album In Waves. The song marked the first time Jamie had reunited with his The xx bandmates Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim on record since the group’s 2017 album I See You, and has since become a live highlight at Glastonbury, Jamie’s own LIDO festival and beyond.
Solomun’s reworks have been the subject of intense fan speculation for months, after both artists teased them in their DJ sets. Known for his influential Solomun +1 Ibiza residency at Pacha, his Diynamic label, and headline slots at the world’s biggest festivals, Solomun brings his signature deep, melodic touch to Jamie’s original, delivering two distinct versions built for the dancefloor.

“Jamie and I have been friends for a while” says Solomun “and his latest album really blew me away – especially as it’s his first in quite some time. Choosing just one track to remix wasn’t easy, but with Romy and Oliver’s incredible voices the inspiration came quickly. In the end, I delivered two versions, and I’m thrilled they’re finally coming out”

The release arrives ahead of two special events that will see Jamie and Solomun share a stage together. On 22nd August, they’ll appear – alongside Four Tet – for Diynamic’s “Dynamic Outdoor” event in France’s iconic Théâtre Antique D’Orange. Then on 24th August, Jamie will join Solomun for a special back-to-back set for his legendary +1 night at Pacha Ibiza, their third appearance together there following an unforgettable debut in 2023 and follow up in 2024. Jamie will also play Rock en Seine and Chicago’s Arc Music Festival before appearing at Together For Palestine at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on 17 September.

The ‘Waited All Night’ (Solomun Remixes) are out now via Young.
