Crystal Palace show sells out,

a very special support slot for U.S. shows confirmed and new single Straw Into Gold.

The Tiny Ruins New Zealand tour races to its sold out capacity zenith this Saturday night (June 28^th) at the historic theatre, Crystal Palace in Auckland following a highly successful tour of the country.

 Packed houses and extra shows were put on to accommodate the new wave of fans summoned together by the latest album Brightly Painted One. Live reviews included descriptions of “the stage presence of Hollie Fullbrook and Cass Basil, two mesmerizing Sirens who lure listeners towards the haunted shores of their new album”…

Fullbrook reveals more detail on the upcoming 650-capacity Crystal Palace Show admitting that it is “the most ambitious thing we’ve ever attempted to pull off! We are currently cleaning & preparing the place to accommodate everyone.

We will be performing the album in full as a six-piece band (the same group of friends who recorded the album, including Cass Basil, Alex Freer, Tom Healy, Finn Scholes & Siobhanne Thompson).”

The very exciting news just in is Tiny Ruins has been confirmed as support artist for the amazing indie-folk artist Sharon Van Etten on her October tour dates around the U.S.  New Jersey native Van Etten broke the U.S. market with her 2009 debut album further spurred forward by her 2012 Aaron Dessner (The National) produced album Tramp. These shows will follow on Tiny Ruins’ own headline tours of Australia, US/Canada & Europe from July to September.

The Brightly Painted One album having reached number one on the IMNZ Album and number 19 on the RIANZ sales charts was supported by radio for singles Me at the Museum, You at the Wintergardens and Carriages making number one in the Alternative Airplay Charts. There is great hope for the next single Straw Into Gold to do similar as it gets serviced to radio this week after being given the big tick from audiences as a firm live favourite.

Plaudits for the album have included a five star review from the NZ Herald, a bevy of great reviews from the world’s prestigious music press including; Mojo, Q and Rolling Stone Magazines and a live radio broadcast review from indie stalwart Kurt Wagner (Lambchop) declaring the album “perfectly executed visions and thoughts”.
