Billie’s mainstream takeover has seen her grow in New Zealand selling out two headline shows (2017 and 2018) at the Tuning Fork to selling out Spark Arena for her When We All Fall Asleep world tour tonight. All three shows were promoted by Laneway Festival.
“The Tuning Fork was established in 2013 as a platform for up and coming local and international acts as well as for established acts to play intimate shows. The ambition was always to have acts grow from the small venue to the big one and as Billie Eilish takes to the stage tonight we are very excited to see this journey in action.”

With many international accomplishments under her belt already and plenty more to come, Billie Eilish’s live show this evening will transport audiences between emotional spells and energetic moshes.
Billie Eilish’s meteoric rise began in 2015 when she uploaded ‘Ocean Eyes’ to SoundCloud.
She instantly became a veritable pop-phenomenon: receiving an international record deal, over 90 million cumulative streams and global praise from Vogue, Interview Magazine and Elle Magazine (the list goes on).
Billie Eilish first played the Tuning Fork in 2017 at the fresh age of 15, and the show sold out.
On the Tuning Fork show, Sienna Yates, New Zealand Herald said:
“Her voice is incredible; something between a jazz-era lounge singer, a choir singer and a modern day pop singer. She hits high notes with crystal clarity, and her voice drawls and growls in the moody lower register, and she throws in R&B-style runs like they’re nothing. She’s unpredictable, but not in an annoyingly contrived way. And I for one, can’t wait to see what she does next because it’s going to be massive.”
She returned a year later, again performing at the Tuning Fork, “as a gift to Laneway’s Under 18 friends”. Predictably, she sold the show out again before playing Laneways 2018 the following day. At just 16 years old, Bille was the youngest member of the Laneway touring party since Lorde’s unforgettable run in 2014.
In March this year, Billie released her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?. Highly anticipated, the release of album taster and video ‘bury a friend’ is one of the hottest tracks of 2019, garnering four million YouTube views in the first 24 hours. Upon release, the album received critical acclaim, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200. Billie became the youngest female artist to have the fastest selling album in UK chart history, and the album reached #1 on The Official New Zealand Music Album Charts.
“Welcome, our new pop overlord… 2019 is hers.” – NME
“Genius, bewitching and powerful, not only because of Eilish’s talent, but the devotion, love and passion of the all the fans in that room.” – Line of Best Fit
