TORRES, the creative alter-ego of Mackenzie Scott, unveils the video for her new single “Skim” today. It is her first new music since 2015’s Sprinter, as well as her first release via new label home 4AD.

In the “Skim” clip, directed by Ashley Connor, TORRES reflects on the relativity of human interactions.

For her last album Sprinter, TORRES gained critical acclaim from numerous influential publications, including Pitchfork, which named her single “Cowboy Guilt” Best New Track, and the New York Times, which wrote “her music can smolder while she considers exactly where she stands, and it can roar into feedback-edged howls when her rage or despair boil over.”
