TWO SHELL return with ‘The Nightmare’

Two Shell returns with ‘The Nightmare’, a shift away from their darker, more obfuscated previous release, instead leaning into positive, intentional escapism.

In November, they invited fans to Ormside Projects for a party simply named ‘Hear The Music’, where the duo played 3 hours of ‘what feels like an infinite amount’ of new 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘. The accompanying event description read, ‘we’re living in the nightmare. A dark + confusing world. But is that so bad?’

This music is a continuation of that sentiment, an acknowledgment of the times we’re living in, but offering an alternative response of infinite positivity and a sound that feels more anthemic than ever. Feel don’t think. CMONNNN, LET’S GO // WE BELIEVE. Listen here.

Alongside the digital release, limited white labels were available via Bandcamp, featuring ‘The Nightmare’ plus an additional track, ‘Follow’ .

‘The Nightmare’ follows the release of IIcons, a surprise project featuring a collection of previously unreleased tracks. The record offers a deep dive into Two Shell’s glitchy, dark, and emotive club sound much of it familiar to fans who’ve caught the duo live over the past year.  In an Instagram message, the duo framed the project as the close of a chapter, reflecting on the emotional weight of their Glastonbury set and the complexities surrounding their anonymity.
