Alela Diane’s new video ‘The Wind’ was shot and directed by Jason Reid and Darren Lund and filmed around the lush greens of Portland and the Pacific Northwest, including the dunes of Florence, Oregon.
The song is taken from her current album Alela Diane & Wild Divine and was written in response to a dear friend of Alela’s being randomly murdered. Alela says: “following the incident I had a series of dreams in which an organ was playing itself – or rather a spirit was playing it, I don’t know. The chorus part was written by Tom (Bevitori, Alela’s husband) years ago, and finally found a home in the verses I wrote – a mysterious collaboration, especially given the circumstances.
