Ariel Pink has premiered the video for Put Your Number In My Phone, the debut single to be taken from his forthcoming album pom pom.
Speaking about the video, shot in Ariel’s native Los Angeles, director Grant Singer (Kendrick Lamar, Sky Ferreira, Lo-Fang) says, “It’s a story about friendship and the pursuit of happiness. Joe Buck and Ratso Rizzo dream of life outside the sea of vacant storefronts and lonesome chattel on display in middle America.”
pom pom, and its 17 tracks of sublime pop perversion, will be released on November 14th.
Ariel Pink will be sprinkling his magic dust with his new 7-person band in New York, London and Los Angeles over the next month. Any antipodean tour plans are yet to be confirmed / announced.
