Today, The Lemon Twigs reveal the new video for ‘Never In My Arms, Always In My Hearts’ from their critically acclaimed second album, Go To School (out now). The video was shot on Long Island and directed by Michael D’Addario, who also stars in the video, and Winston H. Case. Filmed inside a local Hicksville bar the video tells the heart-breaking tale of one couple’s struggle. In discussing the video, Michael said, “Brian and I played in a lot of Long Island bars growing up, and man, we met a lot of people like this. Sometimes the Long Island mothers would gossip and you’d hear a sad story like this one, and somebody would end up with a tattoo that said ‘Never In My Arms, Always In My Heart’ A weekend in Hicksville.”
Following an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, last month the band made their UK TV debut on Later…With Jools Holland performing three songs on the show including Got To School single ‘Small Victories’. Watch the performance here: https://youtu.be/BVVAF6OMvPw
Go To School is the coming-of-age story of Shane, a pure-hearted chimpanzee raised as a human boy. Todd Rundgren and D’Addario’s mother Susan Hall play Shane’s parents. The 15-track opus was written, recorded, produced and mixed by the D’Addario brothers in their home in Long Island and also features contributions from Jody Stephens (Big Star) and their father Ronnie D’Addario.
