TOBIAS JESSO JR. Announces debut LP Goon

True Panther Sounds recording artist Tobias Jesso Jr. has announced his debut LP, Goon, out Friday March 13th via Rhythmethod.  

Goon was recorded over the last two years and features production from Chet “JR” White (formerly of Girls), Black Keys’ Patrick Carney, and Ariel Rechtshaid (Vampire Weekend, Haim, Sky Ferreira).  Pitchfork recently gave album highlight ‘Hollywood’ Best New Track, calling it “the film negative to Billy Joel’s ‘New York State of Mind’.”

Goon is available for pre-order now via iTunes. 

Earlier this year, Tobias played his first show ever at the Pitchfork Paris Festival, and the site praised his “wonderfully plainspoken songs, which bring to mind a less snarky Randy Newman or Harry Nilsson, or a more hopeful Nick Drake.” Similarly, NME called him “little short of wondrous” and The Guardian said they “couldn’t be more excited about his debut album.”
